Caudill dugout

Site of final Caudill dugout where water was found-
9 x 23", silver print

"In 1981, I accidentally found myself in Pie Town, New Mexico....I remembered the name, Pie Town, vaguely from a 1941 U.S. Camera article with photographs by Russell Lee....When I drove into Pie Town that morning, I could not recall many specific images. All I knew was that Lee had succeeded in making a set of pictures that typified the struggles of families to eke out a living in the difficult years between the Depression and Wolrd War II." - Joan Myers
